The most important thing investors look for is the people. It's also the least understood. This is an endeavour to understand what makes people great in business, so you can close the gap for yourself.

I'm a clinical psychologist, trained in the NHS, with a career-long interest in sport and performance. I've since honed that work at the elite level, with professional football and rugby teams, Olympic programmes, and leaders in the corporate world.

What connects all of it is one question: what are the human factors that make people great, and how do they interact with the environment around them? This is my attempt to answer it properly, in business, with the people living it.
